Default 5700 Accessories

Anyone have any experience with any of the 5700 accessories - the camera bag for example - how sturdy/roomy is it? I've already placed an order for the MB5700 battery pack for a whopping $239 Canadian. But I can't live w/o an alternate source of power once the Lithium Ion rechargable runs down. Another Li would only cost about $70 C, but I'm not sure about it's ability to maintain a charge w/o use. I was interested in the remote shutter release cord but it's 200 bucks!

Any thoughts/advice are welcome.

Default BAG IT

Well I got mine at RM140 which is about USD$37 bucks. Its the original NIkon 5700 bag and it is pretty nifty..some say it is made from pure leather but I am not sure. It smells like leather too.

Default batteries

I was told everything was cheap here, so I guess that is true. Original battery is about the same as the bag at USD42 bucks.

I just got the add-on batt pack. It is great. It uses 6 AA (I have 6 1800 mah PowerEx rechargeables on order). It gives the camera a much better feel and it last alot longer than the rechargeable. I spent $149 US from B&H photo (online). I highly recommend it.

Thanks for your responses - I've decided not to buy the Nikon bag for the 5700 because it's not practical. The MB5700 however is on it's way from my Camera store.
