Default External Flash for CP 990

I have a cp 990 for about a year now. I have been looking for external flash to go with it. I found this for a good price but was wondering if it would work with my camera.

Phoenix D79-BZS Digital Slave Flash with a mounting bracket.

TIA for all your help!!

This is a slave flash that requires the internal flash to fire to be triggered. It has an advantage: cheap because you don't need Nikon cable and another bracket. The major problem is that you have difficulty in getting the flash exposure correct because the camera and flash do not communicate with each other. IMO, a Nikon TTL-compatible flash may be more appropriate and can deliver better quality images. Try this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...u=52805&is=REG It was very popular in the 950/990/995 community. Check my 990 user guide for other accessories for a TTL flash.
