Default Nikon 2100 and AA Batteries.

Hi,

I am newbie. Just got a Nikon Coolpix 2100. The manual says that I can use AA batteries but not the AA alkaline batteries. But couple of reviews that I read from other websites indicated that I can use AA alkaline batteries. In fact, that was one of the major plus point for me to buy this camera. When I need a battery immediately, I could just pop into any corner store, get couple of alkaline battery and be all set for taking some pictures.

Can somebody please tell me whether I can use the regular AA alkaline batteries or not? I don't want to try the alkaline battery and end up loosing the camera.

Thanks much,
Cherian.

Yes, you can use alkaline batteries thats what we use at Best Buy to power up our display because our power adapter is missing for whatever reason
