Default questions on the nikon s6800

s there a way that i can change the photo ID # when i upload it to my computer? for example, i would like it to always start at 0001. but it always starts at the last # even if i format it. if i took 300 photos and then delete them and then use the camera a week later, it starts at 301.

also, should i set it at 1/4 compressions ration or leave at the default 1/8?

thanks

G'day mate

Somewhere in the setup / spanner menu is an option to 'reset frame count to zero'
It's used everyday by journos & wedding photographers so that each job always starts at pic # 0000

As to the compression bit - leave it at 'default' unless you will be regularly printing 20" x 30" poster prints ... then you will gain an advantage via the better compression setting
