Default Coolpix 4500-bracketing

Love my Coolpix 4500--question: when I bracket (3 photos) I only get a preview of a single image. Is this correct? Or am I supposed to see 3 images and choose the one I want?

Thanks for responding.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you talking about panoramas or looking at the 4-9 image preview and expecting to be able to see more images?

What do you mean by 'bracketing?'

Thanks for replying: In the coolpix manual there is a select "Auto-bracketing".
the number of shots in each sequence and the amount of exposure compensation performed are selected. thus 3 exposures with different exposure compnesation(white-balance settings). I used this control and expected to see after taking the shot three indivudal pictures on my playback screen--instead I saw only one--my question is whether I am only suposed to see the "one" chosen by the camera's software out of the three. I hope explained it--it's on p. 116 of the 4500 manual. Thanks anyway.

Rockgem,

I think the problem is that you actually need to make 3 exposures. While bracketing, before each exposure the monitor will show which bracket it is going to use. The first one will say "BKT0" and subsequent ones will say "BKT+0.3" or whatever. As you make an exposure for each bracket, the images will be stored individually.

I hope this helps.

Default i had the exact same question

i had just posted the exact same question you had on another forum. then, i looked here and saw your question and got the answer right away - so thanks!

i noticed on the 4500 that when you select WB bracketing it does take 3 consecutive shots when you press the shutter button! now that i know how exp. compensation bracketing works, it's no big deal.

thanks.
