Default Help: CP990 adjustment wheel is flaky. Settings don't stay

Hi,

My CP990 is starting to act weird. When I use the wheel, to adjust the speed in Manual mode for example, the adjustments go all over the map (1/000, 1/500, 1/250, then it shoots up to 1/1000 by itself while I keep trying to lower the speed).

I thought I had resolved it by re-flashing the software on it, but it's already back.

Would anyone know if there's a cheap solution to this?

Thanks for all help/suggestions.

I've tested some more and convinced myself that the wheel assembly is defective, if I press down on the wheel while making changes then there is no problems.

I will order one from Nikon parts. Looks easy enough to replace.
