Default 8700 rave review on megapixel.net

Sorry if this has been posted already, but the Coolpix 8700 (which I'm happy to own) got quite a rave review on www.megapixel.net recently. Maximum score (10 out of 10) for image quality both outdoors and with flash, 9 out of 10 for metering quality and focusing. Hmmm... maybe the review is too positive?

Default They are correct, 8700 is excellent

I went to the site and read the review and I agree with everything they said. This is A great camera and takes excellent photographs. It does need to use A Sandisk Ultra II CF card though because A normal card does not write fast enough cousing a delay between shots.

Actually, I think that the 8700 is far from THAT perfect. Most notably, battery life is ver poor (compared to my previous Olympus C-730), and focusing speed and accuracy are not perfect, either. Also, ISO 400 is VERY noisy, and noise is quite noticable at ISO 200, too. Overall, it's a very good camera, but not quite as excellent as the review suggests.
