hi there , i want to buy my DSLR ASAP. Ive been loking at the Nikon D100, D70 and Canon 10D. I only have lenses from the Nikon F80 (N80) and they are tamron. I have always thought that Nikon were the best but ive heard now that a D100 and 10D are based on personal preference. I just want the Best DSLR for that $1500 range and need to get it in the next 3 days before I fly back to australia. Can anyone help? :?:
:? have been going crazy for this for soo long.
thanks for your help.

Hi you are in the Nikon Point & Shoot forum

I'm kind of partial to the Canon EOS line myself:-) you will find DSLR forums here

For the DSLR try CanonDSLR's or Nikon DSLR'sForums.

If you prefer Nikon, then get the D70 rather than the D100. The D70 is every bit a D100 and the most important part missing is a vertical grip. I would not compare D100 and 10D as this is really a personaly preference issue.

No, no optional vertical grip for D70, only for the D100, the vertical grip for the D100 is really much more than a grip, you can use two of the EL EN3 batteries or six AA batteries, plus it's also a digital voice memo recorder.

I've seen the results from the D70 & the 10D. I'm impressed by the images from 10D, esp. under challenging & poor lighting conditions. The same applies to other camera models by Canon. Maybe it's their Digic technology.
