When looking at the sample pictures on this website the focus seems *very* soft on the Nikon D70. I'm not sure if it's the lens, the autofocus, or the CCD.

I compared it to the Olympus 8080. I know the 8080 has 20% more resolution, but the pictures arent only 20% bigger on the 8080 but they're at least twice as crisp!

Just look at the magazine titles or any fine detail in the M&M-guy photos between the two cameras.

Were the test shots not focused properly for the D70 or what???

I think the camera had a Backfocus problem.... :?

Normaly the well calibrated ones takes sharp pictures. :idea:

For now it's the best one on the market, but, due to the high volume production

they can't control one by one the cameras and some miscalibrated ones are on the market.

I decided to wait to buy one till the Nikon QC is good....
