I had taken about 1200 pics before two pixels got stuck. Sent for repairs.
Please let us know later how much it costs to get your camera fixed up.

Well I just got my camera back today, didn't take too long. Since it has been bought about 4 months ago the repair was done under warranty(have yet to test it fully).

On the service sheet it says "defective parts" and then under repair performed "Replace Parts", so I'm not exactly sure what they replaced. The guy at the camera store said they replaced everything inside but I highly doubt that.

Now I think many , many camera's have this problem , but few people
see it . :
I bought a Canon A95 (5Mpixels) 4 months ago , one week later
I noticed a White pixel (always the same)on my first low light pictures
(My iso is always fixed at 50 ISO)
Got the camera exchanged for another one , SAME thing but on this one
the pixel is purple much less visible (only on very dark picture) but always at the same place for this camera also. (decided to keep the camera, the purple one is hard to see)

Yesterday I bought a Nikon 7600 for my father SAME THING !
there's a very dark purple pixel . Will keep this camera also ..
See this pixel in the attached picture

Maybe I'm not a lucky guy ?

That would really bother me but in some situations that could be fixed in a photo editing program, if under warranty get it fixed if you like the camera or exchange if you don't.

I had my camera repaired and so far no problems, I've taken probably 4000 photos since then and everything is fine.

Good luck to you.
