Default Any tips for 4500

Just got a 4500 for my birthday. This is a big upgrade from my entry level digital camera (Kodak 3400). After going over the manual a couple times I know there will be a learning curve. Just want to know if any other 4500 owners have any "quick tips" that they can pass on.
Looking forward to lots of pictues with this camera.

Make sure to attach the lens cap to the string and camera body, so you don't lose it.

Consider investing $50 on the 4 filter set, so you have the polarization filter and use the UV filter as a lens cap.

Buy an extra battery or battery pack.

Buy a larger CF card.

Learn all the modes. If a pre-set or the AF mode does a crappy job I have found full manual control is able to give you the results you seek.

Get very familiar with the controls, especially things like white balance, exp correction, noise elimination settings, ISO speeds, etc.

Shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. The more you use it the more comfortable you will be with the camera.

Have Fun!
