Hi,

Just brought my first digital camera (a Coolpix 4200)
and have a question...
It seems that when I move the camera from a lighted
area to a darken area (or the other way), the camera
makes a clicking sound. It is different than the
sound when I focus. I have the camera in single
AF mode. Is the clicking sound ok?

Thanks.

Perfectly normal, what you're hearing is the autofocus which is continuous when the color LCD is turned on.

Adjust it to Single Focus instead ofContinuous.

This will solve the tapping sound you are hearing on the Video clips, its the auto focusing of the lensthat the mic is picking up :-D
