Default Best Portraits/Fast Action/ Night shots for CP5700

Hi, I am wondering what is the best settings in terms or shutter/Apecture/ISO for portraits, fast action and night shots? I am an amuteur and missed the pre-set feature from my old S30. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

It all depends of how you want your photo to be.
Some basics:

1. fast shutter freezes fast movements!
2. Slow shutter also freezes movements, but now you can uptain ex. lighteffects a.s.o ex. in the dark. Don't try to go lower than 1/15 freehand. Use a tripod.
3. small aperture number gives you blurrish background ex. portraits and small depth of fields.
4. large aperture gives you sharp backgrounds and high depth of fields.
5. High ISO setting gives you more speed and grainy photos.

But it all depends on your motive. Macro or wide...

Aperture and shutterspeeds is progressive.

This is really down to earth basics.
