Default CP5700 and adapter

just got the variable and 46mm thread adapter from Bernie
The variable screws on easily and the movement of the outer barrel
was a bit stiff, but I guess that was from the cold, it moves better now
I just have a little problem with the 46mm adapter
Do you have to push really hard to get it on or not
because when I put it on, it comes off easily
it's not in all the way, does it have to be ?
I guess the O-ring must be in all the way ?
just worried about damaging the camera

I'd appreciate some advise

Thanx

Have one mysef! You have to be very careful not to damage the barrel. You have to zoom al the way out, get a good grip around the outerbarrel and carefully press the adapter into its place. And you have to push hard. This way you won't damage the barrel.
The two O-rings, which follow the adapter, is your choice which one you will use. The one is bigger than the other and will get a closer grip. Be careful - if anything goes wrong it will almost certainly result in focusingproblem.
And YES the O-ring has to be in all the way.

ok I got it on, thanx
but I noticed that when in full tele zoom the 46mm adapter goes past the threads of the variable (outer barrel fully extended)
is that normal ?
Is the movement of the outer barrel also a bit stiff with yours or is that because of the cold ? (is there some oil component used between the two barrels?)
gonna try out some filters this week in a shop
