Default CP5700 Remote Shutter Release

Hello, I have recently purchsed the CP5700 and am very happy with the overall performance. Interested to hear if anyone has found any alternatives to the Nikon Remote shutter release (MC-EU1)?

The 99 asking price seems a little steep for what I am looking for - just to be able to release shutter for long exposures without touching/moving the camera. instead of paying 99 it would be easier to use the self timer feature - but that is a little slower.

cheers

We have two alternatives...

The DigiSnap 2000 is compatible with the 5700, and has more flexibility and features than the MC-EU1.

We also have a DigiSnap 5700 comming out in a few weeks... waiting for parts to arrive to put them together! This will be essentially the same as the DigiSnap 5000, for the Coolpix 5000.

Have fun!

Thanks for the info. I'll wait and see what the new 5700 version looks like.

cheers
