not finished the first chapter of the manual yet, but i always buy a back up battery and so far i have a 10 day to 14 day wait at cameras2u and 10 weeks at Jessops.

Anyone know of anywhere that may have them in stock in the UK.

By the way, i am so far impressed. i have come from a Fuji S7000 and more prior to that. and i have always printed the very first shot i take with the camera no matter what it is. and the first one with this camera was leaps and bounds above the Fuji.

Also got a good price from Jessops i think, £545 with price match.

Hope your all as friendly as the Fuji lads and lasses.

http://www.ajpurdy.co.uk/

Both UK based and both claim to have stock of the EN-EL7.

Yeah, *most* of us are friendly. Be wary of the Scubbler though, he nibbles

Thanks for those links, I was thinking of buying a spare battery as well. Even though the battery seems to last for ages on 1 charge.

By the way, where is the scubbler? haven't seen him on here for ages.

We are all friendly here and exchange our findings or anything alse we encounter with this camera.

Unfriendly ones seem to be dealt with fairly quickly

Greetings from

Angie

Ps. ttyke32 don't be afraid to show us some of your pictures:-)

Welcome ttyke32

Another source for the EN-EL7 Battery is Kingsley Photographic (kingsleyphoto.co.uk) in London. Their website is being rebuilt right now but they take telephone orders on 020 7387 6500.

I bought two EN-EL7s from them a couple of weeks ago.

OK so Dead Snowman may not be an ideal first subject, but with the coloured balls, white of the snow and grass background I thought it would be a good comparrison ,

I am so far quite awed with the cam, can't wait to get to the manual and learn a bit.

Resized only nothing else touched

Hi I was out looking at the Nikon 8800 today. What kind of price did you guys pay for your camera? Hope you don't mind me asking.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"B&Hphoto has it for $999. I was in a store today. $769. Price may vary from day to day. What do you think? Maybe I should grab it fast. Thanks.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"8MP.10 Optical., same one. :?
