I have a 7 year-okd daughter who has green eyes and always gets red eyes in digital pictures (point-n-shoot digicams). I did get some really good results with the Olympus C-7070WZ but find this digicam a little large (I already own the Canon 20D). My wife wants a compact point-n-shoot that she can carry in her purse that will not produce red eyes.

My local camera store rep. recommends the new Nikon Coolpix 7900. How effective is the red-eye reduction feature of this digicam? What about low-light conditions using the AF assist lamp? I have read two reviews on the CP7900 and DCRESOURCE.COM really likes it but DPREVIEW.COM claims that it does not perform well in low-lighting. Anyone try this digicam?
