Can you use rechargeable batteries in this flash, the 123 battery is 3.0V I think the rechargeable batteries are 3.6V. Will it hurt the flash unit? Thanks

I too have SB 50DX. It's a bit dicey using rechargeable batts. I use regular 123. What camera do you use? I use Coolpix 5400 and SB 50DX.

I am using the Nikon CoolPix 8700. Ya I am using the regular 123 batteries, I was just thinking about rechargeable, well I guess the batteries are cheap enough on ebay, I bought 20 for $29.00. Thanks for the reply.
