Default Nikon View 5

I just purchased a D100 and love it. The software Nikon View 5, version 5.1.3 seems to have a good slide show option. However I can't view pictures saved as tiff?? Is there something I am missing or can you only view if jpg?

Well, I'm not sure about tiffs. But I did have the same problem with jpegs - that is, if I saved a jpeg with the option of "Baseline (Standard)", the image could be read in NikonView. If, however, the image was saved with the jpeg option of "Progressive", NikonView5 could not recognize the file format. So . . . there are some compression options when saving tiffs, and perhaps this is the problem. Try using "Save as" for one of your images, and see if the final screen has one of these boxes checked off - LZW, ZIP or JPEG. If so, click on NONE and see if this makes a difference.

Oh, re. my last note on this topic - I forgot to mention that I did check my tiff images, and they can be viewed in NionView5.

FYI...

Version 5.14 is available for download from Nikon web site.

It may help.
