Default Coolpix 990 or Coolpix 995?

I need to take some close-up photos of small camera parts. By close, I mean as close as possible for small springs and screws. The size of the image file is not important for printing because the size of 4x5 is big enough. Getting in close is the hard part.

After researching the different digital cameras, I am thinking that the Nikon Coolpix 990 or Coolpix 995 would be the best choice.

What do you think? Are there any other digital cameras I should consider?

Regards
Kori

I found availability an issue and bought a Nikon CP4500. It's also good for close-ups.

Default The CP995 ain't a bad closeup camera...

This image was handheld under a desklamp. The grainy structure of the knob's surface wasn't visible to the naked eye. I opened the aperature to close the DOF. Even better results can be had with proper lighting. PatiO
