Default question on 5700 and hot pixels

I read somewhere that all 5700s have at least 1 hot pixel?
any truth to that?

I think all digital cameras have a heck-of-a lot more than that. Run the diagnostic program from the link on this forum and you may be surprised at the results. You can scan without having to re-map. Bottom line: If you don't see any hot pixel problems curently, I would just leave well enough alone .

Uh, thanks Phil. You tried that one? I did a search on this site for "CCD defects reader" and got null, which surprised me.
