Default NIKONVIEW 5.5

before i go loading another useless program on my hard drive,
is there any useful software on the nikonview5.5 CD???

Only advantage to Nikon 5 that I can see is that you
read the proprietary NEF format and do a Save As
to save in nonproprietary format. Proprietary format
is one reason I sold my 5700 even though I loved quality
of pics.

Perhaps, Adobe PS 7 can open the NEF?

Anybody w/PS 7 want to jump in?

I have 6.0 that came with my 3100 but i know better than to install it.
