Default Please compare the Coolpix 4500 and 5000

It now seems like a Fuji S602 just won't be delivered, so I'm now thinking, based on the great rebates, of getting a Coolpix 4500 or 5000. Will either take a 340mb microdrive? That is the kind I have and I don't really want to resell it.

Also, how long do the batteries last and are there any cheap AA adapters around? Since the zooms aren't as great as I'd like, I'm assuming the telephoto lenses available will suffice to bring things close to me.

My main photographic interests are:
Coins (macro)
Landscapes (telephoto lense)
Animals (possibly macro)
Airplanes (moving sometimes, so the shutter needs to be fast)

If you have any thoughts on the cameras, any thoughts on accessories, or any other insights, please inform me. My budget isn't too high (I'm just 16) so your help in getting me a camera that will get great prints and computer images and will also last a long time is very, very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Jeremy

hi,

Get the CP4500. I have read many detail reviews. CP4500 deliver a much better quality picture than CP5000. I will get one myself soon!

You might want to check on using that 340MD. I have been told by nikon not to use the 340 in their units, the other size is no problem. Tealblue

If that's the case, then I'll probably reauction it, unless someone here wants to buy it from me... then I'll buy a few CF cards instead as they require less power.
