Default Nikon CP5000 + trip = help

I will be getting a Nikon CP 5000 soon. I will be going on a trip in a month. I have a question about battery life. If I rarely use the LCD screen how long do you think the battery will last? I will just be taking pix here and there. Will I be ok all day with the same battery? Or should I buy an other battery?

Thanks for the help.

Default CoolPix 5000 Battery

Buy another battery. It will bring you peace of mind on your vacation, and it is probably an inevitable purchase anyway. Missing a good picture is painful. Why be penny wise and pound foolish?

Using Lithium CR-5's is okay, but can get expensive.
I ended up getting the EB-E5000 battery pack and am using Maha 1800mHA "AA" batteries (6).

The later will give you a lot of juice for a long time. I recommend always have a spare set of batteries on-hand.
