I am consdidering a replacement for a Sony DSC-T1 and have narrowed my choices somewhat. I like the idea of image stabilization, and of course the new version of my now-broken Sony has SteadyShot (at a $ premium). I like the LCD dsiplay and features interface of the Nikon S6 and S7C, so I'm wondering if the S7C (cheaper than the Sony and with image stabilzation) is the right choice.

Anyone have any thoughts on the S7C, or on Nikon's image stabilization versus Sony's?

Thanks for the reply. What makes you say that about Nikon? Are they known for that sort of thing? I have to admit I don't know much about the varous camera manufacturers strengths.
