You can set this camera for fulltime autofocus, its supose to be more draining on your batteries but I find it significantly reduces your shotlag.

There is a 200 page on line advanced manual (acrobat) for this camera that I've found extremely useful. I got this camera about a week ago and have been very happy with my choice.

I just got mine last yesturday and like it very much. After much research I was leaning towards the C-765 or C-770 until I found the C-5500 at Office Depot.

The clincher for me was the batteries - the C-5500 uses AA size while the C-765 & C-770 use a proprietary battery. I don't like being stuck with having to buy expensive hard-to-find batteries.

I love the small compact size of this camera, which I can throw in my backpack and have available at any time.

I bought 256 Mb memory, the USB Reader/Writer, and a couple of sets of Ni-MH batteries along with a charger. I figured I'd have to buy those things regardless of what camera I bought.

I take a lot of indoor theater shots and although I found this camera to be good at outdoor and "normal" indoor shots.....theater shots were horrible! It is very slow too. I am not happy with the camera and am going to return it and stick with an older model from Ebay.
