I recently acquired a C4000 and the "P" setting doesn't seem to work. When I take pictures outdoors, in the sunlight, the pictures come out totally black (no image at all). I can use the camera inside with or without a flash and the pictures are fine. I can also manually adjust the shutter speed and aperture, outdoors, and get good pictures. I am not a camera expert, at all, which is why I prefer the automatic setting.

Has anyone else encountered this or could someone advise me? Could it be a problem with the San Disk (non-Olympus) card?
