Default 2100uz viewing problem with brightness, exposure

I took a bunch of photos this weekend, see them at http://www.pbase.com/kandyj/pphotos_...orth_east_ark_

I intentially underexposed some of them to get a really fast shutter speed, although when previewed in the camera they looked MUCH brighter than when I downloaded them to my computer.

Any suggestions?

I don't really know what your question is, but let me try:

First, how did you underexpose for a fast shutter speed? If you used manual settings to force higher speed via larger f-stops, that's okay ... as long as you also set the ISO manually. Otherwise, the camera might choose a higher ISO while you're not looking.

Secondly, if you're asking about the previews looking brighter when you previewed them, that might be due to the brightness setting on your LCD. You need to go into the setup menu and reduce the brightness to make it more closely approximate the actual brightness of the image. I pretty much keep mine set at the default mid-point.
