Yep, you can get Macro converters for cameras that screw on the end of the lens...you may need an adapter for the 2100 depending on the diameter of the filter.
You can get a set of +1, +2, +4, so you can stack them to get any number between +1 and +7 (although stacking may cause problems like vignetting or softness around the edge) but you can get individual macro converters that are stronger power in a single lens (+7, +10, etc.).
BTW, they are very similar to a filter, so they add very little weight to the camera.
