Default C-5050 Auto: too dark?

I have been using my 5050 for a few months now...mostly happy. I have a question about quality on full-auto though. Over the July 4th I took a series of photos of my aunts with my c5050 and my sister took the same photos with her Fuji Finepix 2650 (2mpx). Due to a high volume of subjects to shoot, and the last minute nature of the event, I shot on full auto. I figured there would be a few no-goods, but when we took the time to review our shots, my photos came out very dark and green. My sisters were maybe a little blue, but much nicer in most regards.

I cannot speak to all of the settings, but I know we were on auto-white, auto-ISO, HQ. In subsequent tests, I get similar results, but the July 4th photos remain the best example. I can't figure it out, but the Fuji pix are much nicer than mine. I can color correct them to be acceptable, but I have a couple hundred photos to go through...so I'm a little pissed. I'm no pro-photographer, but I am pretty adept. Is there a "gamma" setting or something I am missing? I have posted the two photos for comparison:

Any help would be great.

What setting did your sister use? I never use the auto setting on my C-720, but I leave it set on Program. Don't know what choices you have, but I see no reason for the Auto setting on a higher end camera like yours.
