c-5050 - good set-up?
I am about to buy the c-5050 would lilke to know if the following set-up and accessories make sense.

Olympus C-5050 Zoom

(41-43 tube with 43 to 55 step up) **or** (41-52 tube with 52-55) step up

55 mm UV filter
55 mm Polarizer

Wide angle lens: Olympus .7 (takes 55mm thread to attach)

Telescopic lens: CrystalVue LX Lens (8x) 41-42mm t-adapter (lens accepts 55mm filters)

*Extra storage and batteries

Please let me know if anything here doesn't fit or if there exists a better configuration. I am new to photography and welcome any guidance.

Thank you.

You might want to add a nice, sturdy tripod for when using the CrystalVue.

I would go 41-52 w/52-55 step up. Shame they don't make a 41-55, that would simplify your life. These people have good prices and excellent service:

WOW!!!!

Ruzicka's got it right though!!
Sounds like a "valid" combo; and rather EXTREME. May have limited application; as you START at 8x and quickly speed to 24x with CrystalVue mounted.
I am not in judgement of your application; it's your decision (and money). Just remember to include the cost of a required 'pod.

Thanks for the feedback

The crystalview comes with a table tripod. I will save and pick up a larger one later.

-- I plan to shoot a lot of wildlife, birds etc... I think the zoom will compensate for the otherwise 105 max zoom the c-5050 has. I could spend about $50 less (no tripod) and get the Olympus 1.7 zoom, pretty insignificant price difference for such enhanced capability.
