From the details, I can see nothing that helps explain. I am not sure how you had that bright white wall so glaring. If that is typical, without flash, then this is NOT how the camera should behave. I think getting it checked out is worth a go. Don't give up. These are NOT a bad camera, actually.
I would be interested to hear what happens. |

Did the numbers tou you posted refer to the picture you showed as an example?
Your posted picture was quite small. I think I asked. Did you crop it a lot to get that result? Cropping and displaying large sis the same as zooming a lot, in the end. The picture seems to have been taken in HQ mode (2218*1712). If I crop an _SHQ_ photo down to the size you posted, then I start to see some edge flare. at full-screen. Still, not if I use HQ mode, and crop to 675*575. Even at full screen, there is none of what you are showing. |

Trouble is this image is at 200 Pixel per cm, and I am working at 72 pixels per inch. Rather than "do the math" and maybe get it wrong, I will simply ask. If you crop really small, then you will get those edges. Let's know. Again sorry for the questions. |

ok, this is the original image but i had to resized from 2218x1712
to smaller so to compress the file size(due to smaller size the problem isnt clear here!) and here is an other shot, a stalactite with the same "purple" problem: |
