Default Converting QuickTime to mpeg

Hi All,

I'm the happy owner of a C-300 Zoom (D-550) and are very pleased with it, but for one thing:

I can't seem to figure out how to make the movie clips play on Windows Media Player. I've got QuickTime 5 (as supplied with camera) on my PC, so it's fine for me, but none of my friends or family have it. I also want to put some clips on the internet and I think it needs to be a .avi file??

Is there any easy (and affordable) way of converting the .mov files to either .mpeg or .avi??

Any help or advice will be appreciate by this novice!

newer versions of quicktime, the pro version I think, allow you to export quicktime movies into other formats. avi being one of them.

heres the direct info from apple/quicktime themselves: http://helpqt.apple.com/qthelpwr1/en...elp/pgs/31.htm
