I went from a Kodak DC4800 to the C8080 and I can't even begin to describe the jump I made. A totally different league of camera for sure, I'm pleased nearly beyond words.

The picture here was in the first 10 or so I took with the camera, just fumbling around the menus trying to figure them out without the manual. It was handheld, the settings were a mess, just one of those lucky moments in time to catch the shot and the quality of the lens and camera in general allowed me to save a very underexposed shot with some basic tweaking.

The EXIF info from the original in brief for anyone interested.

Manipulation was done using The Gimp 2.0 on a linux box using mostly the curves and levels tool with some unsharp mask as well.

I'd buy this camera again gladly and look forward to wearing it out.

Cute image!

Are you waving a candy(or catnip) coated mouse over their noses to get their attention like that?:blah:

They were furiously stalking a moth that was buzzing around the chandelier over the table. Out of frame to the left was the pile of boxes and manuals from opening the camera :-). In the original you can zoom in and see the chandelier pretty clearly in the eye of the foreground cat. I got a kick out of that detail.

The stare of a predator, looks great. Once you become more aquaitned with your oly c8080 you will be even more pleasantly surprized. :-)
