Question about a good size filter and adapters for UZI

Hey all

I am going to get a few filters for my C-2100 UZI.

The first question is what is the best size to get for the cam?

It is 49mm at the end of the lens, but to use Oly lenses on the end, it takes a 55mm adapter..... but then the end of the lenses is even bigger than that.

I am just getting a wcon-08x wide-angle and working on one of the MCON-40 Macro lenses -- and I would like to be able to use filters on the end of these lenses.

So....

What is the recommendation about the best size filter and adapters to get -- I know I will need a 49-55 mm adapter to fit the lenses on the end of the cam... but what about filters on the macro and wide angle lenses? Is it better to get filters a little bigger than the lens on these to avoid vignetting?

Thanks

John

It's a personal preference, but I just get 49mm. On the few occasions where I'm using the WCON, I just don't use a filter. I leave the step-up ring attached to the wide angle adapter, and if I buy a telephoto I'll leave another SUR attached to it as well.

Do you have a SLR? If so and it uses 49/52/55mm filters, take advantage of the utility of having one size filter for both. If not, 52MM should be a good compromise size.
