Drove south from Dallas around 35-40 miles near the town of Ennis, Texas to check out the Bluebonnet Trail. Wouldn't you know, at the end of the day it snowed, cutting my time down a little, but I did get 3 good hours and nice, overcast skies, which kept the flowercolors nice without the deep shadows you can get on a sunny day.

This type subject is about as hard as it gets for a digicam with a sensor as small as what's on the SP550UZ with not only the detail of each individual flower, but thethousands at one time you see in each field. The reality is, you simpy are not going to see the minute detail in fields you'll seeif you used a big sensored digicam like a Canon 5D, butall in all, I was very pleased with the results, and my back felt much better at the end of the day than it would have been had I hauled my DSLR outfit instead.

and then...it started snowing. End of the day..

Well, on one hand I have never seen a picture of Blue Bonnets and snow in the same picture. Or Blue Bonnets and snow period.
