Default [pics] Grey Fantails

While I was sitting, watching & photographing the pair of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos, I noticed a little Grey Fantail darting around a nearby fence. I watched it for a few minutes & as it was darting around presumably collecting insects, it would continually return to the same couple of look out spots. So I positioned myself in between these spots & waited for the fantail to land.

Grey Fantails are incredible quick & do not sit still for long at all, so I was quite pleased that I managed to capture a couple of decent images of the bird in the ever-so-brief moments it was stationary.

Unfortunately the sun gave me a little grief with this image, hence the blown backs of the bird. But I was happy with the amount of detail captured & the halo-like effect, so I decided to process it anyway.

Come on...It's a chickadee with a fat tail...

Love the juxtaposition of the bird on the barbed wire, nice shot Adam.
