Your image of the tug goes a long way to dispelling the idea the E-500 clips highlights worse than many other models, as discussed ad-nauseum in so many reviews and forums. With good exposures, such as yours here, highlights are very much retainable, but care is needed in the initial exposure and yours aboveis very good.. |

Thanks Greg, I've had some good luck in the first 12 months with the E500. It's a good job some of us want to find out for ourselves and not get caught up in "reviews"
I used Steves initial review, his opinion has beeninvaluable on other cameras and printers I've bought but I'd made my mind up that for my first DLSR I'd go Oly and the 500 came out just at that time. I still have my OM2 but my 2 daughters conned my OM10 and OM1 off me I used it on a trip to China last winter and had some wonderful results. When I find my way around the forum I'll post some or a link to somewhere like photobucket. Didn't mean to threadjack Gaggu, sorry..:-) |

Guys some lovely shots all round but Scouse the tug on the lake just looks awesome - shocking how good the E500 did in just plain on Auto everything.

Thanks for clearing that up. At first I thought it was Winchester Cathedral here in the UK but then I got thinkign perhaps there's one in the US as well. Cheers HarjTT :O :? |
