i often contemplated something like vers 2 as a macro table
mostly for some fun but good for product photography perhaps

when i looked a little deeper, it seemed product photgraphy needed more of a studio setup with strobes, and quite a long shooting scope

still Im not done with the idea just yet
a variety of bases and difusers are easy to imagine
the use of card is probably good, because colours can be exchanged
but alternates should include reflective plastic materials
both white and black
black is ofcourse common for jewelry and stones etc
