I am close to purchasing a DSLR camera and have been doing my homework on all brands and models. I have narrowed my search down to the Olympus E-500 but have yet to find any wildlife photos taken with this camera so I can do some comparisons. Does anyone have any links to share?

Thanks,

Jim

A big part of the camera is the lens(es) you choose. For wildlife photos (depending on what you define as wildlife) you may want to avoid the kit lenses (for any camera you choose) and move up to the higher end lenses (if you are really serious about that kind of photography).

For general info about E-system and its lenses check out:

Thank you Mikefellh,

Another good link. I am mainly interested in birding. Your suggestion to avoid the kit lens is well received.

One of the best-known pro nature photographers I know of using Olympus equipment is the Finnish Lauri Sippu. He shoots with a combination of Olympus cameras, most recently the E-330, but if you want to see what Olympus lenses can produce check out his site(s).
HERE are some more.
