Downloading pics directly from my E-500 goes well but it is rather slow. Will it make a difference if I use a CF card reader.
If so any suggestions on which ones to use? Thanks, Jim |

Yes, it will. The E-500 is USB 1.1- about as slow as it gets. CF card readers are 2.0, will download much faster and don't use up camera battery power. Just about any 2.0 reader will do. I have a Sandisk. My girlfriend's computer (1 1/2 years old) has 2.0readers built-in

LOL Schu,
Ifyou mean buying one online you must know I am one of those "I want it now" guys. C/C has a Sandisk for $16 I am going to pick up tomorrow. Wouldn't $5 + shipping push me over thatfigure? |

Not quite sure where Schu pulled $5 from. Maybe he/she could provide you with a link to that magic reader?
Online sources such as B&H are as competitive as anyone when it comes to most anything digital, and looking at this list I see no USB2.0 readers for $5: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...Q=&ci=1096 Sounds like the one you are going to buy is exactly what I've got, and it's great. |
