Default Deep shadows at the track today..

in addition to the heat!

Using Adobe Camera RAW, controlling shadows with the Blacks slider and the Fill Light slider to raise shadow values really makes it easy to get those areas exactly where I want them, and sharpening in ACR with the masking slider being used to minimize or completely eliminate sharpening in the shadows goes a long ways towards controlling grain/noise issues. E30 and the 50-200 SWD, some with the EC20, some without.

I read a lot of "noise" about E30 files not being very flexible from certain posters on other websites. I simply do not see their point it in doing what I do.

Hi Greg,

Another set of fine images. And, thanks for the tips in ACR RAW.
I've fallen away from using that plug-in lately. Your explanation reminds me that I need to use it more often.

Greg, those are absolutely clean images with your process, noise looks well controlled if not absent totally.

Greg, as usual, another excellent series. You really are putting your software to good use. But obviously you have good shots to begin with before the Photoshop work.

(I have to admit that I'm too lazy or too busy to do much PP. LOL!!)
