Hi, this evening I used "Auto-Gradation" to try get both: Evening-sky-colours and foreground details. I never got this before. A direct comparison with setings "auto" and "normal" would have been better, but for this I should have had a tripod with me. Nonetheless - I do not see the itensive noise which has been reported. I will use this setting more often:

I almost aways shoot raw, so it maks little difference to me. From what I hear you can get great results at lower ISO, but it sometimes pushes shadows beyond the limit at high ISOs.

Yep, I've pretty much left my E520 set to Auto Gradation since seeing the results. Even with a little shadow noise when used from ISO 400, I prefer theresults and prints do well.
