DPR's review of the E30 is out:

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympuse30/page34.asp

Definitely worth reading and good to see it got a HR rating without any qualifications.

Cheers

I read the list of "Cons" first and I thought: Thank God that somebody has FINALLY done a review without complaining about the Supersonic Wave Filter slowing startup time! My long time peeve is that every reviewer has to mention the SSWF slowing startup by some immeasurably small fraction of a second. It's an idiotic complaint and I fear the reviewers haven't recognized that it's a moronic point.

Then I read the list of "Pros" and I was crestfallen by this hackneyed display of idiocy:

"Supersonic Wave Filter ensures no dust on sensor (small point: would sometimes be nice to be able to turn it off for faster startup; ..."

I think there is a reviewers handbook which dictates the MANDATORY mention of the SSWF as something which slows the startup time. Why don't they complain about lens caps? Do they not understand that it can take almost half of a second to remove a lens cap? Think of all the pictures lost while people are grabbing the lens caps.

Hi Harj,

Thanks for posting the link. I just finished reading the review and am actually surprised, in that, the E30 got a highly recommended without the typical(just) caveat.

Now, if only, Olympus can address the pricing that would really get my attention:?as well as many others who would like to get one but think the pricing is a bit steep.
