Default Flick..

I tried to catch as much of that yellow in the tail as I could. This is best I could get.

I love the details in photo #1.

While a little unorthodox, a friend of mine said he uses baby monitors to convince his birds to pose. He positions the receiver favorably in the yard in such a way that if the birds were to turn directly at the receiver's sound they would be posed perfectly for a shot. In other words, to his left or right depending upon the sun, and usually on a string lowered from another tree. All he has to do it wait for them to arrive, compose his shot, make a clicking sound into the transmitter, and then when the bird hops around to check out the sound from the receiver, he quickly focuses and snaps the photo. Not foolproof, but he told me it will usually get the birds to reposition in different ways that takes the attention slightly off of him. Your results may vary

Well done Gary. #1 is probably your best capture of a Flicker so far.
