Have you ever seen a grackle's eyelid? You have now. :) My focus hit the neck so I had to try and sharpen the head as this guy jerked around a lot.

I dunno but is a "grackle" same as a starling? I know the starling is European but never heard of a grackle before.

yes mate - we too have lots of -now unwanted- european imports that are these days well at home here, but which do untold ecological damage to Oz. We're still trying today to keep others out, with limited success :-(
