I was taking photos of a home that I'm listing today. Little family 3 bed 2 bath home. One my way back from there I took a side lane and found this old summer cabin in the trees.

I though it was cute as all heck so I had to get a shot. Interesting build, they'd sawn a tree up into 12 logs and cemented them together. This summer I'm going to have to chat with the owners to see if they know the history.

Talk about a natural roof!

Here's a bit of detail from it over the shuttered windows.

Hi Scouse,

Really great photo of quite a unique structure. Looks like something straight out of "Lord of the Rings" You didn't happen to see Frodo lurking about anywhere???

Hi scouse,

Took me a wee while to work out how they put the house together - pretty impressive. Now if they ahd gone for a thatched roof - it would have made it look much more like a hobbit home!

:O :?

You don't see much (any) thatch over here,in some cases they do use sod.
This place has split cedar shakes on, that used to be the norm.

The covering with a 'few' years of moss is optional.... :-)

Great pics of a well appointed home. I'm glad the market is looking up for you, we're still in a but of a slump right now. Got about 6 listings but they're all pretty sad.

"Sell them or the bank will get them"!!!

Love that lens of yours, I need to get a couple of decent sales in before I think of more stuff.

I was wondering where you were last week when I posted these...:-);forum_id=36
