Hi,

Nice close up shots.

You have quite an extensive collection of photos using different cameras. I especially enjoyed looking at your Gallery of Brussels. Beautiful City. I was born in Belgium but my family emigrated to the US when I was 4. I've never had a chance to go back and see what the country looks like today.

Thanks for sharing.

Brussels has changed a lot since it became the capital of europe and having the EU & NATO headquarters but i wouldn' say that it's for the best.

I prefered it before , it's too cosmopolitan for me

So what camera do you have ?

good morning,

I have the E-510 along with the 14-45mm, 40-150mm(new version), and a 70-300mm. I did have the E-500, which frankly, I preferred forthe CCD sensor and the way it felt in my hand, but it didn't have IS. When the E-510 came out with image stabilization, I decided to upgrade and am , overall, happy with it.

I also own an Olympus C-5060 digicam which I still use and have fun taking pictures with it. I usuallytake it along when I'm fishing on a boat. The C-5060 is a rugged camera, one of the best wide angle cams Oly has ever made (IMHO). I'm a bit reticent about taking the E-510 out on the water. The limiting factor here is my hand has a tremor, so I really can't use it in low light situations.

I have a question for you. Based on your galleries, it looks like you own a D40 and a D300 Nikon. I'm curious as to what motivated you to get an Olympus E-510.

regards,

Zig

I don't have the D40 anymore but the reason why i bought the Olympus is because i like to try out new things , compare cameras , that's a hobby of mine :-)

I try to buy at a very interesting price so if i want i can always sell it back without losing too much money , my E-510 with both 14-42mm & 40-150mm lenses cost me new just €470.

Here is a place where you can see my E-510 pictures , they were all taken in RAW and then converted into jpeg.

Good but not fabulous
