i saw some site like do it yourself photo it is really helpful but im looking for something that specifies oly cams. as most site are for nikon.canon users.

This is one of the bigger, more popular sites for Olympus users, and you'll note two articles near the top regarding the E620..

This one gives the best overall description of the settings..

Congratulations on your purchase. Get back with us when/if you have any specific questions or some images you want to show!

Hi: For a good start, be sure and go to the following:

(Also, study your full owner's manual after you download it from the CD. You would be surprised how many people do not do this important step.)

Hi,
Congrats on getting a fine dslr.

In addition to Wrotniak.net which is a fine site and well worth bookmarking, a couple of sites worth getting familiar with are:

BIOFOS.com which is managed by an English fellow John Foster. It is a great site with tons of info -all having to do with Oly.

Be sure to look at Olympus ' website and specifically their tutorials. They are pretty good in showing how to get the best results for specific applications.

Welcome aboard

Congrats on your new E620!

All the great links were already provided by our knowledgeable and helpful members as expected.

You might also want to pick up a book or two. I just got the "Understanding Photography Field Guide" by Bryan Peterson. It's small enough to carry with you anywhere you go. He also wrote "Understanding Exposure" and "Understanding Shutter speed".
