Hi All,

I noticed this morning on Olys' website that there is a firmware update for the 70-300 lens.

http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_se...=1346&os=w

The page states that the upgrade is for stabilized exposure precision. I'm curious if anyone has actually upgraded their lens and noticed any improvement-difference, etc.

Thanks,

Zig

Great catch! I will be doing this tonight. The improvements may only be subtle, but any change that's good enough to warrant a firmware upgrade by Olympus is worth doing.

Actually, this "update" is over seven months old...the best place to find out about firmware is at:

Hi Mike,

I wasn't aware of this, more streamlined way of checking firmware updates. Thanks for pointing it out.

Well, I either bought the lens with the firmware already in place or I upgraded it earlier as it's already in there. Can't remember which is what happened.

If you bought the lens recently, chances are it already came updated with the latest F/W.
